The theme of the fifth national seminar of ASSTRA- Transport Association was ITS in LPT: MaaS and cybersecurity insights, provided a comprehensive look at how technology is shaping the future of public transport systems across the country. It was a gathering that brought together professionals from diverse sectors, united by the shared goal of making public transport greener, more efficient, and increasingly digital. This exchange of ideas was a valuable opportunity for all participants to network, share expertise, and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
We were honored to be part of the seminar and would like to extend our gratitude to ASSTRA and all the attendees who contributed to the success of the event. Our participation allowed us to gain deeper insights into the direction Italian public transport is headed, particularly with the growing role of integrated mobility solutions.
One of the highlights of the seminar was the speech delivered by Giacomo Mantovani, CEO of Binary System. He focused on the critical role that Software as a Service (SaaS) and cybersecurity play in the digitalization of Local Public Transport (LPT) processes. As transportation systems become more reliant on digital platforms, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures is crucial. His speech emphasized the importance of protecting both physical and virtual infrastructure, particularly as mobility services increasingly rely on cloud-based solutions and interconnected systems.
